Relaxing on the beach
In case you would like to have beach portraits done, there are several good photographers available.  This one is by Karly Carlson Photography & Framing.

It seems like people look for reasons to celebrate on the island.
This fellow is fishing from shore at the Pass Between Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key.
There are three bridges to the island.  Two are from Bradenton and this one is on the south end of the island and connects to Longboat Key.
There are many nice restaurants on the island.  This one is the Sand Bar on the beach.  Others with outdoor dining are the Beach House, Rotten Ralph's, The Waterfront, the Anna Maria City Pier and the Rod-N-Reel pier.  Just across the bridge you will find Mar Vista a nice outdoor restaurant with boat-in access.
This is the Beach House.  It is very relaxing with steel drum and Buffet music
This strange little restaurant, Mr Bones,  has the best ribs.  It is well known in this area and beyond.  The lobby has an old casket full of ice & beer.  Serve yourself to a cold one while you wait for your table.  There are only a few tables and they are much in demand.
Yes, these are my friends...and yes, it is Christmas.  At first it seemed a little strange to not have snow at Christmas, but it did not take long to get used to it.  We have a lighted boat parade each year.  We do not freeze our hands putting up the lights either.
I take way too many pictures of sunsets, but I just can't help it.
